Two winners from Wandsworth have scooped £1,000,000 each in National Lottery prizes.
A hardworking mechanical engineer won £1,000,000 after his EuroMillions ticket was selected in the UK Millionaire Maker raffle on Friday 21 November 2025. He had a good feeling that day and decided to buy four Lucky Dips – and one of them came up trumps. His first purchase will be a new car to help get him to work. He said: “I really can’t believe that I have won this amount of money. It doesn’t feel real yet! ”
A young mother of two boys won £1,000,000 on a 50X scratchcard on Sunday 28 December 2025. After playing for around four years, she went into her local retailer and purchased a scratchcard which turned into a winning ticket. She plans to buy a family home for her two boys and save for their future. She said “This is a dream come true and means a great future for our boys. We’ll definitely keep on playing, you never know what might happen!”
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated both Wandsworth winners, saying, “Two £1M winners from the same area – what brilliant news! It’s fantastic that our mechanical engineer will have a reliable new car for his commute, and I’m particularly pleased that the young mother can now buy a family home and invest in her boys’ future. Best wishes to them both”
