Uber has partnered with Unilever to offer 255,000 hygiene products to drivers in the UK, helping keep riders and drivers clean and safe on the go as the UK continues to move out of lockdown.

The kits, which include Lifebuoy hand sanitisers, and Cif spray and anti-bacterial wipes from Unilever, mean drivers and riders can clean their hands and drivers can wipe down car surfaces after every trip. Free masks are also included in the hygiene kit.

The offer is part of Uber’s $50 million global commitment to help provide equipment for clean and hygienic rides at no additional cost to drivers.

Drivers can request one free kit by accessing the webshop, which will be delivered within two weeks. This is in addition to over 1.1 million masks that have already been sent and 95,000 cleaning sprays.

In addition, Uber delivery couriers will be offered sanitising kits, consisting of Lifebuoy hand sanitisers and face coverings.

Uber and Unilever first announced the business partnership in May, and there are plans to extend this to other markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
