UWL proudly celebrated 15 years of its Music Management programme at the London College of Music (LCM) with a special alumni event that brought together over 50 graduates now shaping the global music industry.
Held in LCM’s Lawrence Hall, the celebration marked a significant milestone for one of the UK’s most respected music business courses. Alumni spanning 15 cohorts returned to reconnect with lecturers, current students and fellow graduates reflecting on their journeys from the classroom to careers at some of the world’s leading music companies.
Among the attendees were alumni now working at global organisations including Sony Music, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Live Nation, alongside independent labels, management agencies, publishers, live promoters and music-tech startups.
The event celebrated not only the programme’s longevity but its impact. Since its inception, the Music Management course at LCM has built a reputation for combining academic rigour with real-world industry experience equipping students with the skills, networks and entrepreneurial mindset required to succeed in a fast-evolving global market.
Speeches from faculty and alumni highlighted the strength of the LCM community and the programme’s commitment to practical learning, industry engagement and career progression. Many graduates credited the course’s hands-on approach, industry placements and access to professional networks as pivotal to their success.
Current students in attendance were given the opportunity to network directly with alumni, gaining valuable insights into career pathways across recorded music, publishing, live events and artist management.
Ben Bushell, Course Leader for Music Management at LCM said:
“Seeing so many of our graduates thriving is a powerful testament to the strength of our Music Management programme. Over the past 15 years, we have built a community that extends far beyond graduation, and this event was a celebration of that enduring network.”
As the programme looks to the future, the 15-year milestone reinforces UWL and LCM’s continued commitment to developing the next generation of music industry leaders.
