The University of West London (UWL) has announced a new three-year partnership with Studiosity, providing all students with round-the-clock academic writing and study support as part of the University’s continued investment in student success and inclusive learning.

The initiative ensures that every UWL student has access to immediate, formative feedback on their academic work. The service is designed to strengthen academic confidence, develop critical thinking and enhance core skills in writing and analysis.

This latest development forms part of UWL’s wider strategy to continually enhance the student experience, improve retention and ensure that all learners feel supported throughout their studies.

Supporting confidence, progression and belonging

By introducing 24/7 online feedback, UWL is removing barriers to academic support and providing students with help at the point of need.

The service will:

Reach under-served groups: Offering a private, accessible space for all students to seek feedback without the perceived pressure of formal appointments.
Enhance academic skills: Delivering fast formative feedback on structure, use of sources, choice of language and higher-order thinking skills.
Improve retention: Providing immediate intervention at the point of struggle to keep students on track.

Alison Griffin, Head of Study Support, said:

“This partnership is another important step in how we continue to strengthen the student experience at UWL. Timely, formative feedback can play a significant part in helping a student feel more confident to progress.

By providing support at the point of need, we are helping to improve continuation and keep students on track, while broadening access to academic support through an inclusive, low-barrier route to feedback.

This is about building academic confidence and independence and ensuring every student has the chance to succeed.”

Isabelle Bambury, Managing Director for UK and Europe at Studiosity, added:

“UWL is a leader in student experience, and we are proud to support their mission of inclusivity. We know that ‘hard-to-reach’ doesn’t mean ‘hard-to-help.’ By providing support that meets students where they are, whether that be at 2pm or 2am, UWL is ensuring that no student is left behind, particularly those who have historically been more hesitant to engage with traditional services.”
