wagamama is kicking off the year with a series of giveaways and exciting events designed to surprise guests and communities, as well as support emergency service workers with uplifting moments throughout the month. In a bid to lift spirits on what is often considered the gloomiest day of the year, on Blue Monday (January 20th), wagamama will be giving away free ramen from 3pm to the first 50 guests in all restaurants nationwide.

Teaming up with soul club ambassador and noodle union president GK Barry, wagamama will bring some extra joy to London this Blue Monday. Making a special appearance at a surprise location, Grace will personally serve guests a choice of the classic chicken ramen, the iconic shirodashi pork belly ramen or the new and exclusive firecracker chick’n ramen. This fiery plant-based dish is part of wagamama’s collaboration with Alfie Steiner, aka Alfie Cooks for Veganuary.

Alongside the free ramen giveaway, wagamama is partnering with Blue Light Card by offering exclusive bundles for Blue Light Card holders, which include a yaki soba and peach iced tea for £12, or with an Asahi beer for £13. Blue Light Card is the UK’s leading discount service for those in the NHS, police, fire service, ambulance, and other frontline roles.

As part of its commitment to giving back to guests, wagamama soul club members can also enjoy double stamps on every valid visit in January, while new members will receive a choice of edamame or koko prawn crackers as a welcome treat. Level 3 members will also receive an exclusive reward on Blue Monday: a free ramen added to their soul club wallet, ready to redeem in-restaurant.

wagamama’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kay Bartlett, says, “January can feel like a tough start to the year, but at wagamama, we see it as an opportunity to spread warmth, give value to our guests, and showcase the versatility of everything we have to offer. Whether it’s giving back to frontline workers, or sharing moments of joy with our guests, we hope we can make January a little brighter for everyone.”
