Two lucky parents from near Watford and North London have each won £10K a month for a year on Set for Life by The National Lottery, after matching five numbers on Monday 8th December and Thursday 1st January 2026 respectively.
The lucky Watford winner is a dad of one, who took a chance on a Lucky Dip in December. Speaking on his win, he said: “I usually play my own numbers but decided to play a Lucky Dip as I thought my chosen numbers were too low.
“Winning Set for Life is so surreal, I keep getting flashbacks of how much I have won and dreaming about what I will do with it!”
A mum of one from North London won £10K a month for a year on New Year’s Day, and plans to invest her newfound fortune. She said: “When I found out I had won, I was in disbelief… it was a total shock! I had to check several times to make sure it was real.
“I always play Set for Life, it’s my game of choice! Now that I’ve won, I want to invest my prize so that it can go towards my family’s future.”
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, commended the Southern prize winners, saying, “Congratulations to our lucky winners, who are now both Set for Life! We hope they enjoy treating themselves and their families with their winnings.”
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. They can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.
Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger. Each week, players help generate around £32M for National Lottery-funded projects. With over £52BN raised for Good Causes since launch, this funds hundreds of projects in every postcode area across the UK. From supporting the arts and sport sectors, to empowering local community groups and preserving iconic British landmarks, players’ participation makes a difference every single day.
