For the first time in history, the iconic Stamford Bridge was turned into Stamford Beach. The two worlds, travel and football, collided as trivago hosted a VIP event at Stamford Bridge, turning Chelsea’s football pitch into a tropical island, decked out with a sandy beach and striking tiki bar. Team Captains Cesar Azpilicueta and Magdalena Eriksson took advantage of some tropical fun, as they showcased the new 2021/22 training kit featuring trivago.
The Captains were joined by the men’s Head Coach, Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea Women’s manager, Emma Hayes. The celebrations with trivago followed an incredible season by Chelsea, with the women’s team topping the Women’s Super League and the men’s team set to play at the Champions League Final (due to be played 29 May 2021).
As part of the multi-year partnership between these two international brands, trivago will be featured across the club’s training kit for the Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams. The partnership and integrated campaign, ‘Let’s Go’, will bring together the best of football and travel in a uniquely Chelsea way. From television to curated content to once-in-a-lifetime experiences together, Chelsea and trivago are helping fans go further, bigger and bolder.
