Wembley Park, the North West London neighbourhood best known for its global sporting and entertainment credentials, will host its inaugural, free Wellness Festival on Sunday, 20th July 2025.
Part of the broader Summer Rocks cultural programme, the event underscores the neighbourhood’s transformation into a liveable, community-focused destination, a shift recently recognised by The Sunday Times, which named Wembley Park one of the Best Places to Live 2025.
Running from 10am to 5pm, the Wembley Park Wellness Festival will unfold beneath the iconic arch of the National Stadium, activating landmark locations such as Samovar Space, Elvin Gardens, Union Park and BOXPARK Wembley. The day offers a full programme of movement, mental wellbeing and creative activities across the neighbourhood.
The festival is delivered in partnership with Buzz Gym, one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent gym groups. The programme is supported by a range of local studios and practitioners, and is fully open access, inviting residents and visitors to take part at their own pace.
What’s On
Fitness fans can join a line-up of sessions curated by Buzz Gym, known for high-energy, accessible workouts. A key highlight is the HYROX experience — the global fitness race format that blends strength and endurance into one high-intensity circuit. With the sport gaining rapid popularity worldwide, festivalgoers can get hands-on with guided training and a full outdoor simulation, powered by PUMA HYROX.
Buzz Gym will also lead a series of other sessions throughout the day:
· Les Mills Body Balance, a flowing mix of yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates
· Soca Dance Aerobics, bringing high-energy Caribbean rhythms
· Calisthenics Masterclass, introducing bodyweight strength training in the open air
Alongside these, MoreYoga — London’s largest independent yoga studio — will offer inclusive family-friendly yoga sessions, designed to be welcoming for all ages and abilities. Meanwhile, El Estudio Pilates presents a workout led by Laura Pelinski, a celebrity trainer known for working with Olympic athletes and A-list actors, blending posture, breathwork and control into an all-levels session.
Also on the line-up is UBX Boxing Wembley, the Australian studio concept that fuses boxing drills with functional strength in a no-class-times format — designed for all levels, no sparring required. And Social Sports Wembley will introduce visitors to padel, the UK’s fastest-growing racket sport.
Creative & Mental Wellbeing
Wellness at Wembley Park goes beyond physical movement. The festival also invites visitors to reconnect with their inner wellbeing through moments of calm, creativity and joy.
Wembley Park-based Arts Council Portfolio Organisation Fresh Arts are partnering with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) to host two Sound Sanctuary workshops. These accessible, sensory-led music sessions use live orchestral and percussion instruments and are designed for people with additional needs. The workshops will be led by the RPO, which is relocating their headquarters to Wembley Park this autumn.
Laxmi Hussain, one of London’s most celebrated contemporary artists, will lead a life drawing session in the open-air Elvin Gardens Amphitheatre. Throughout the session, participants will be encouraged to slow down, observe and engage with their surroundings through art.
Later, certified laughter yoga practitioner Kalpana Doshi will lead a playful workshop using breathwork, movement and laughter to release tension, lift mood and reset through shared joy.
Buzz Gym and Wembley Park Medical Centre will also host seminars focused on mental health and peak performance, offering practical tools to build resilience and manage everyday stress.
Meanwhile, MoreYoga will guide a calming gong bath by Union Park’s new wildflower meadow — an immersive sound experience designed to help participants reconnect with nature and unwind.
Festival Atmosphere
Throughout the day, Wembley Park Market will bring together food stalls, fresh drinks, artisan traders and wellness-focused brands. Musicians from Busk in London will provide live acoustic sets, while DJs keep the tempo up across the site.
Supporting Everyday Wellbeing
The festival reflects Wembley Park’s long-term investment in health and wellbeing, woven into the everyday fabric of the neighbourhood. At its heart is Union Park — Brent’s first major public park in over 130 years. It features a vast wildflower meadow, outdoor gym equipment, paddling pools, sun loungers, tennis courts, dog runs, a multi-use games area, bee and bug hotels, and an interconnected system of ponds and fountains that recycle rain and wastewater.
Four children’s play parks are spread across the neighbourhood, offering varied play experiences for families in different locations. Meanwhile, a network of pedestrian boulevards — including Olympic Way and Wembley Park Boulevard — encourages walking, cycling and access to green space. These routes are now lined with many of the 1,000+ trees planted across the estate to support climate resilience, shade and biodiversity. This infrastructure supports a broader strategy to create a neighbourhood where wellbeing isn’t a one-off event but part of daily life.
