Westminster Venue Collection has reported record performance for the year ending September 2025, with total enquiry value reaching £3.8 million – a year-on-year increase of 27%.
The results were announced at the consortium’s AGM on 29 October at Lumiere London – The Embassy, attended by representatives from its 54 member venues across Westminster.
Outgoing Chair Barbara Wutte (Royal Society) attributed the growth to a successful year of marketing and business development activity. Qualified leads from The Meetings Show, London Christmas Party Show and BNC Show contributed significantly, alongside hosted buyer FAM trips and venue safaris that increased members’ exposure to event planners and agents.
To support and help streamline the traditionally time-consuming venue research process, the collection launched a redesigned website in March 2025. New advanced search and shortlisting tools allow planners to compare multiple venues side-by-side and submit enquiries to shortlisted properties simultaneously. The platform’s enhanced functionality has proven popular with event professionals, with average engagement time per active user increasing by 93% and returning users up 57%.
The flagship Annual Showcase offered similar efficiency benefits, enabling over 100 event professionals to explore the whole portfolio in one night, significantly reducing time required for individual site visits.
“It’s fantastic to be joining as Chair and I’m excited to build on this momentum with our new board,” says Clare Davies (IET London: Savoy Place), who steps into the leadership role. “Westminster’s exceptional venues provide event organisers with unparalleled options in one of the world’s most prestigious locations. Our strategic marketing initiatives and industry presence have driven impressive results for our expanding membership.”
Davies continues: “Our collaborative approach and commitment to reinvesting membership revenue directly into promotion and visibility delivers real ROI for our members. Thank you to Barbara for her leadership, as well as our strategic partners Patch Marketing and Engine Room.”
The AGM confirmed Davies’ appointment alongside Wutte as Vice Chair. Five new board members were also appointed: Liam Farrelly (Central Hall Westminster), Anton Richards (The Rubens at the Palace), Fiona Wakefield (Royal Horticultural Halls), Charlotte Crisp (National Gallery) and Perry Gallagher (20 Cavendish Square).
Returning board members include Kay Davies (Houses of Parliament), Paul Martins (Broadway House at Make Venues) and Stephan Trockle (Lumiere London – The Embassy).
