Last night, leading venue consortium Westminster Venue Collection hosted its annual showcase at RSA House. Over 100 event professionals attended ‘Meet me in Westminster’, for an exclusive evening of discovery and networking with over 50 of London’s most prestigious corporate and private events venues.
Since 2023, Westminster Venue Collection has more than doubled its membership, offering event organisers an incredibly diverse selection of central London venues. With a portfolio including fashionable townhouses, private members’ clubs, luxury hotels, iconic attractions and historic institutes, guests were able to explore Westminster’s rich heritage, diversity and versatility as a destination.
Highlighting Westminster Venue Collection’s broad appeal for hosting world-class events, the guestlist comprised of event organisers from an array of industries. Companies in attendance included Pfizer, Goldman Sachs, University College London, Government Office for Science, Ove Arup & Partners Ltd and Shard Financial Media.
On arrival, guests enjoyed a networking reception with a delicious selection of canapés and bowl food served by RSA House’s on-site caterers, Company of Cooks. Menu highlights included Braised beef chimichurri and Potato gnocchi ‘Arrabiata’.
Following an opportunity to meet with the venues and learn more about their extensive venue hire options, Westminster Venue Collection Chair Paul Martins gave a welcome address. The evening also featured entertainment from Judge The Poet and a raffle of items generously donated by members. Winning guests were awarded prizes ranging from an overnight hotel stay and afternoon tea experiences, to a wellbeing hamper and tickets for an exhibition and live orchestra accompanied film screening.
Martins says: “Our annual showcase is always a highly anticipated date in the events calendar. With our ever-growing portfolio, the evening offers planners a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in all that the Collection, and Westminster, has to offer and discuss their bespoke event requirements. Thanks to our Showcase Lead, Clare Brace at IET: Savoy Place – with support from our Board and event partners – we’ve delivered a fantastic evening. We’re delighted with the guest feedback we’ve received and look forward to building on relationships with existing and new clients.”
Vicki Peerless, Venuefinder Concierge adds: “Meeting so many venues under one roof in one night is invaluable. I left with a wealth of information about the latest developments, new event spaces, refurbishments and Christmas party availability within the Collection. This is extremely beneficial for providing a bespoke concierge service for my clients. Westminster Venue Collection’s streamlined enquiry service also helps with this, I can submit just one enquiry to be matched with the best suited venues with availability within the portfolio.”
‘Meet me in Westminster’ was kindly supported by partners RSA House, Company of Cooks, Judge The Poet, Andrew Lunn Photography, Generate Media Video services and Peachy Productions for furnishings.
