Leading housebuilder Weston Homes Plc is holding a Careers Open Day at the company’s Head Office in Takeley on Saturday 12th March 2022 between 9am to 1pm, since in September 2022 the company is looking to recruit up to 25 new trainees to join various departments across the company.
The Careers Open Day is to help inspire both students, parents and prospective trainees about the wide diversity of jobs and career paths available at Weston Homes. On 12th March the company will be running three presentations in the HQ Conference Centre, one an hour between 9:30am to 11:30am providing an overview of Weston Homes and the firm’s trainee/apprenticeship programmes.
Attendees will also be able to review a number of department information stands located in the atriums across both the Innovation Centre building and Business Hub building for visitors to discuss the careers available. There are trainee positions available in the Management Trainee, IT trainee, Architectural Technology, Land, Planning & Design, Quantity Surveying, Site Management, Finance, Sales and Marketing departments to name a few. The day is aimed at all ages and all are welcome to attend.
Applications for the Trainee/Apprenticeship Programmes will then be invited from Monday 14th March, and further details on the opportunities available will be on the Weston Homes website after this date.
The 2022 recruitment drive is part of Weston Homes £2.5 million investment in training over the next three years. The company plans to recruit similar numbers of trainees in 2023 and 2024 in order to deliver the company’s £2.13 billion (GDV) development pipeline. Over the last five years Weston Homes has recruited 47 trainees across a wide range of departments and the company is proud to confirm that 74% continue to progress their careers across the company.
Established in 1987 Weston Group currently employs over 520 people across the group including over 300 people at Weston Homes.
Over the last five years (2017-2021) Weston Homes has purchased land sites that will deliver £2.13 billion (Gross Completed Value) worth of residential and mixed use development across outer London and the South East which includes 20 current active sites and over 7,500 new homes in the pipeline including traditional housing and large scale urban regeneration projects.
Projects include the £350 million Abbey Quays urban village in Barking, the £60 million Grade II listed Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot. the £0.5 billion 10.4 acre Lorimer Village in Goodmayes, the £50 million Town Quay Wharf in Barking, the £53 million Victoria Central in Southend-on-Sea and the £85 million The Laundry Works in Watford.

Applicants must be 18 or over by 31 August 2022. Qualifications may differ depending on the programme/ discipline selected but as a minimum applicants must have 5 A-C/ 4+ GCSE’s.
