Heavy hitting cruiserweight Riakporhe is set to fight Adam Williams on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s vs Lucas Browne WBC silver heavyweight title defense at the 02 Arena in London.
6ft 5ins tall Richard Riakporhe (5-0) guns for his 6 win on the 24th March.
Riakporhe, who is rumoured to be one of the most intimidating boxing talents in the cruiserweight category, has been subject to a lot of hype regarding his fellow cruiserweight and former Olympian Okoli. Industry insiders see a match between Riakporhe and Okoli as unavoidable, a match that was set to take place in December when Okoli’s camp pulled out without explanation.
Outspoken Riakporhe mused:
“I don’t know why they pulled out, they never gave a reason.” He continued: “I am massive at cruiserweight. Lawrence and I are of the same size, a lot of people say we’re almost identical in shape. He wouldn’t have a size advantage – and I’m strong. I really doubt he is going to have any physical advantage over me.”
Riakporhe enjoys the support from heavyweight Anthony Joshua & regular sparring partner Dillian Whyte (who is headlining the night).
