This summer, Covent Garden brings the best of Summer sport in one unforgettable open-air season.
Wimbledon will once again be screened live on Covent Garden’s East Piazza, bringing the buzz of Centre Court right into the heart of London. From Monday 30 June to Sunday 13 July, visitors can enjoy free, daily open-air coverage of the tournament. No tickets needed, just sunshine, deckchairs, and world class tennis.
To complete the experience, Covent Garden will be serving up classic British summer refreshments: strawberries and cream, buttery hot dogs, Godfrey’s Strawberries & Cream popcorn, ice creams, pick ’n’ mix sweets, and a refreshing glass of chilled PIMM’S.
And if you’re feeling inspired to dress the part, head to Polo Ralph Lauren on King Street to browse their official Wimbledon collection. For a closer look at the tournament’s heritage, drop by Bucherer Boutique in the Royal Opera House Arcade, home to Rolex, Wimbledon’s official timekeeper since 1978.
Wimbledon is just one part of Summer on the Big Screen, running from 20 June to 13 July, with a full line-up of unmissable live moments playing out in Covent Garden’s East Piazza. Highlights include:
