From tail-wagging fun to high-energy musical showcases,
Woolwich Works invites families from across London and beyond to dive into a summer of joy, creativity and community. The Royal Arsenal venue will play host to a wide variety of events in July and August designed to entertain the young (and young-at-heart)
— with a few special treats for your four-legged friends, too.

Dog Days of Summer: Woolwich Goes Walkies

Leading the pack is Woolwich
Woofs —
a fun and vibrant dog show on Saturday 19 July, celebrating our much-loved canine companions. Expect a hilarious line-up of categories, from Waggiest Tail to Golden Oldie and Best Dressed Dog, as well as a celebratory atmosphere for humans and hounds
alike. Spectators attend for free, while entries are £5 per dog, with prizes up for grabs.

Creative pups and kids (and their people) can also get stuck into Dog
Day Crafternoon, a paws-on workshop running earlier
that day from 1 – 3pm. Families can make origami dog bookmarks and paper plate pooches, or draw their pet, with suggested donations from £3 – £7.

The weekend continues with Spot’s
Birthday Party on Sunday 20 July, a perfect treat
for toddlers and their grown-ups. With storytelling, games and meet-and-greets, it’s a gentle introduction to the magic of theatre and community celebration. Each child receives a party hat and the opportunity to meet and greet with Spot after the show. Tickets
are £13.20 and a family deal (a bundle of four tickets) is available for a discounted £45.

Click Away (Saturday 30 August) – A family-friendly dance performance

explore the impact of waste and discover creative ways to repurpose materials instead of throwing them away.

Liat Rosenthal, Head of Creative Programming at Woolwich Works commented:

“We’re really proud of this summer’s family programme — it’s a mix
of music, storytelling, movement and community connection. From babies and toddlers to tweens and teenagers (and even your dogs!), there’s something magical here for everyone.”
