With awards season in full flow, Madame Tussauds London has today announced that movie star, fashion icon and red carpet queen, Zendaya, will take up permanent residence at the famous Baker Street attraction’s Awards Party zone in time for February half term.
Known for her stand out film and TV roles including Spider-Man, Euphoria, Dune and The Greatest Showman, Zendaya’s new figure has been sculpted using measurements and references taken during her 2015 sitting with the world-famous attraction’s artists. Celebrating the Emmy Award winner’s fashion credentials, the figure pays homage to Zendaya’s love of sharp tailoring in a striking neon pink suit, paired with subtle jewellery, chic updo and the signature Zendaya glow.
On welcoming Zendaya to the attraction, Tim Waters, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, said: “Zendaya just exudes cool. Not only that, she uses her celebrity status to join conversations, thoughtfully, on important social issues.
“She is unapologetically herself – and we, along with her fans, love that about her. With rumours circulating that Zendaya is soon to become a Londoner herself, the timing to pay homage to her at Madame Tussauds London could not be better. We know her fans will be lining up for the chance to ‘meet’ their idol when Zendaya’s figure arrives in our Awards Party zone.”
Visitors will be able to pose and strut their stuff next to Zendaya’s figure in Madame Tussauds London’s Awards Party zone from Friday 11th February. Book tickets at www.madametussauds.com/London
