Daisy Green Collection is proud to announce the launch of ZIGGYFEST, a vibrant new annual celebration honouring the life, legacy, and cultural influence of David Bowie.

The inaugural event will take place on Saturday 6 September 2025 at Ziggy Green, the Bowie-inspired restaurant on Heddon Street – the infamous spot where the album cover for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars was photographed.

Organisers are calling on the capital’s top Bowie impersonators to compete in London’s largest Bowie look-alike contest, with finalists invited to ZIGGYFEST and the winner will be crowned on the night by a panel of Bowie’s original collaborators. The winner will take home a £500 cash prize, a ‘money can’t buy’ Daisy Green Black Card and a self-portrait by Chris Duffy. Details at https://www.daisygreenfood.com/ziggyfest

Running from 12pm to 1am, ZIGGYFEST will transform Ziggy Green with music, talks, DJs and art— with a particular focus on the creative energy that defined Bowie’s world. Proceeds from ZIGGYFEST will be donated to two important charities, Magic Breakfast and Sarabande (the charity set up by late designer Lee Alexander McQueen to support the next generation of fearless creatives).

REUNITING BOWIE COLLABORATORS

A major highlight of the day will be the reunion of some of Bowie’s most legendary collaborators, who will come together to share stories, perform, and reflect on their shared history with one of music’s most visionary artists. These include:

– Morning Bowie tour in Soho by Geoff Marsh (V&A Curator of David Bowie Is).

– Soho Saints five-piece Brass Band performing ‘Let’s Dance’ and other Bowie hits on Heddon Street.

– In conversation with Spiders from Mars drummer Woody Woodmansey, who performed on the 1972 Ziggy Stardust album, as well as other iconic albums including Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold the World and Aladdin Sane. Woodmansey, now a respected artist, will also create a specially commissioned artwork for the event.

– Champagne Brunch with Suzi Ronson, stylist and inventor of Bowie’s famous Ziggy haircut who was married to Ziggy Stardust guitarist Mick Ronson. Ronson will be discussing the musician’s iconic looks and regaling audiences with stories of touring with Bowie and the Spiders from Mars.

– Colony Room Green conversations throughout the afternoon with contributors including photographer Chris Duffy, whose father shot the world-famous cover of Aladdin Sane alongside photoshoots for Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, The Lodger and Scary Monster. Chris followed in his father’s footsteps, later photographing Bowie himself. David Bowie was a regular at the Colony Room during the YBA period where he drank alongside the likes of Damien Hirst, Tracy Emin and Sarah Lucas. It is rumoured he is the only guest to have ever asked for a cup of tea.

– Stephen Street, the legendary music producer of Blur, the Smiths, the Cranberries who will be playing an all-vinyl DJ set of his favourite Bowie tunes and talking about David and his collaborators music legacy.

– Bringing back the band and kicking off the evening party with Bowie LIVE AID guitarist Kevin Armstrong, Iggy Pop’s drummer Mat Hector, Bowie LIVE AID saxophonist Clare Hirst, Mike Garson biographer, Cliff Slapper, Hot Chocolate bassist Henry ‘King Thumb’ Thomas, with vocals from Katie Puckrik fresh from the road with Iggy Pop and Bootleg Beatles star David Catlin-Birch.

– Going late with renowned DJs including author, artist and DJ, Chris Sullivan playing beloved Bowie hits until late with further special guests to be announced.

ZIGGYFEST will be hosted by broadcaster and presenter Katie Puckrik, who earned rave reviews for leading the 2023 Lust for Life tour. She’ll be joined by Chris Sullivan, founder of the iconic WAG Club.

ZIGGYFEST is generously supported by Daisy Green Collection, Champagne Piaff, Gosnells, Showerings Cider, El Rayo and Papa Salt.

ZIGGYFEST also celebrates the much-anticipated opening of the David Bowie Centre at V&A East the following weekend, and is inspired by the artistic, cultural, and human connections that shaped Bowie’s ever-evolving career. The festival aims to spotlight the many forms of inspiration Bowie drew from and gave to the world — continuing the conversation he started through music, fashion, art, and identity and looking at his legacy across London and globally.

Limited tickets to the highly anticipated ZIGGYFEST will go on sale on 28th of August at 10am
