Zizzi has unveiled its latest menu innovation, the Quattro Pomodoro Candy Floss Pizza, a bold new take on a staple dish from the Italian brand’s Spring menu. Launching in restaurants from 1st April, diners can tuck into a rich Italian tomato pizza, topped with a unique tomato flavoured candy floss that melts into a rich glaze.
At the heart of the dish is Zizzi’s classic Pomodoro base, crafted using high quality Italian tomatoes, known for their natural sweetness and depth of flavour. The pizza is finished with a vibrant red candy floss topper, flavoured with tomato, which is placed directly onto the hot pizza just before serving.
As the candy floss melts, it transforms into a sweet tomato glaze that coats the pizza, enhancing the natural flavour of the tomatoes while adding a subtle sweetness. It’s the ultimate indulgence for any tomato fan.
The bold new pizza draws inspiration from the inherent sweetness of sun ripened Italian tomatoes, reimagining a traditional ingredient in an unexpected way. By transforming tomato into a light, airy candy floss cloud, the culinary team at Zizzi has created a unique topping that delivers both flavour and theatre.
