Uber Eats has revealed that Jinseon Korean BBQ from Coventry, West Midlands has been crowned the 2026 Restaurant of the Year, taking home the £100,000 grand prize to invest in their business.
Selected from 45 nominated restaurants across the UK, Jinseon Korean BBQ stood out for its authentic Korean BBQ dishes, combining high quality meats, and bold traditional marinades, impressing both the judges and the public in a competition designed to spotlight the very best of small, independent restaurants.
Acclaimed comedian, award-winning podcaster and food authority, Ed Gamble, headed up this year’s judging panel. Bringing his elite dining expertise and signature wit to the table, Ed selected the winner alongside Seema Pankhania, Lorraine Copes, Merve Basci, Toby Inskip (Eating with Todd), and last year’s winner, Chris Riley from Silver’s Deli.
In its fifth year, the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards continue to celebrate the small and independent restaurants that fuel local communities and shape the UK’s food culture. The nine national finalists that faced off in London for the £100,000 prize will also receive £5,000 for their regional victories, along with tailored marketing and business support from Uber Eats.
For the first time, and to celebrate 10 years of Uber Eats in the UK, Coqfighter and The Nashville Cluck also secured the £25,000 second place and £10,000 third place prizes respectively.

Jinseon Korean BBQ now joins this illustrious set of restaurant alumni, with £100,000 to invest in more of their one-of-a-kind grills, only available in Korea, and further expanding their delivery business.
The Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards were created in 2022 to celebrate and support the small businesses that make the UK and Ireland’s food scene so diverse and exciting. Each year, hundreds of restaurants are nominated, face public voting, with the finalists judged by leading industry voices.
