The winners of the latest Premium Bonds prize draw have been announced, with 1,487 lucky winners in London scooping up a combined prize total of £4,224,000.

The online betting reviews site, latestbettingoffers.co.uk, has analysed the latest data from National Savings and Investments (NS&I) after the winners of the August Premium Bonds prize draw were announced.

Five people in London won £100,000, 17 people won £50,000, 18 people won £25,000, 61 people won £10,000, and 107 people won £5,000. One of the £100,000 winners purchased their bond as recently as April 2026.

London recorded 1,487 Premium Bond winners, with a combined prize total of £4,224,000. Of the 1,487 winners in London, the average prize value was £2,841.

At the national level, £60,712,000 was won among 20,409 winners in the month of August, and the average prize value was £2,975.

Matthew White, site manager for latestbettingoffers.co.uk, commented:

“Premium Bond holders have received a welcome boost after NS&I announced that the prize fund rate increased to 3.8% in July, alongside improved odds of winning. With an estimated 322,000 extra prizes being added to the monthly draw, savers will have more opportunities to see a return on their holdings.

“The latest Premium Bonds draw has seen great results in London, with 1,487 winners scooping up £4,224,000. The fact that bonds purchased as recently as April 2026 produced a £100,000 win shows that newer investors can win big.

“While Premium Bonds are unlikely to outperform the best savings accounts over the long term, their appeal has always been about more than returns. The combination of government-backed security and the chance of a tax-free prize continues to attract millions of savers, and these latest changes should make the product even more attractive to existing and prospective bond holders.”
