30 jobs on offer in London – despite Covid-19 crisis

Thirty jobs are on offer in London as a leading decorating, hardware and DIY brand continues to thrive – despite the coronavirus crisis.

Leyland SDM, which has 23 stores across the capital, continued to trade well throughout lockdown as people turned their hands to home improvements – and stores are still busy now restrictions have been eased.

The business is now looking to recruit new colleagues to work across its stores and at its warehouse in Wembley.

The jobs are a mix of part time and full time, ranging from weekend work to 40 hours a week.

The positions are at various levels, including sales advisors, store supervisors, deputy managers, store managers and warehouse team members.

Cliff Rendell, HR Director at Leyland SDM, said: “We’re delighted to be in a position to welcome new faces into the business.

“Our focus is on developing colleagues through learning and development opportunities and, ultimately, provide exciting career prospects.

“The coronavirus crisis has been an extremely challenging period for everyone. However, our branches have largely remained open and we have traded well.

“No specific qualifications are required. What we are looking for is a passion for delivering great customer service and enthusiasm to learn about paint and DIY products.”
