IKEA and XBOX are celebrating the launch of its new YXSTABY collection with the ‘YXSTABY Cosy Zone’, a one-night-only gaming space in the heart of London at IKEA Oxford Street’s Live Studio.
The exclusive gaming experience will take place on Wednesday 30th September, 4 pm to 9 pm, offering IKEA and XBOX gaming fans the ultimate cosy gaming set-up, where they can see the collection ahead of its official launch in stores across the UK on Thursday 1st October.
The new nine piece gaming-inspired collection, YXSTABY, is designed to bring play seamlessly into the home and to cater to the reality of modern home-gaming in everyday life.
IKEA gaming fans can book a 30-minute slot to test out the YXSTABY collection, while playing relaxing, wholesome XBOX titles like Minecraft Dungeons, Tony Hawk 3 & 4, Grounded, Minecraft and Forza Horizon 6. Popular gaming creator Yammy (512K followers on Instagram, 1.3M on TikTok) will also be taking over the ‘Cosy Zone’, with opportunities for guests to meet her in person and play alongside her.
Tapping into the growing popularity of cosy gaming, the immersive activation will see IKEA Oxford Street’s Live Studio transformed into a warm and inviting lounge space, showcasing how gaming can be a social, restorative way to switch off from everyday life.
Alongside the interactive gaming stations, guests can relax in the cosy gaming space, and enjoy complimentary food and soft drinks. Guests will also walk away with an exclusive gift bag containing a new item from the collection upon departure.
Each ticket costs a £10 booking fee, which will be fully refunded to attendees upon check-in at the venue. A limited number of walk-in slots will also be held for each time slot on the day on a first-come, first-served basis.
