A budding photographer from near Palmers Green has won £1M by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the Lotto draw on Saturday 26 September 2026.
The winner, in their 60s, plays Lotto occasionally and had decided to play three lines at their local store.
Speaking on their win, the winner said, “It’s amazing that I’ve won it! We are going to make sure our family are looked after for us to remain comfortable in our retirement.”
Dean O’Field, Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated both winners, saying, “We are so happy for our lucky Londoners! How wonderful that they both plan to use their Lotto wins to help their loved ones. We hope these wins also give them the gift of time to pursue their passions, whether it’s reading or photography.”

New Lotto is now making more millionaires than ever before with a new draw format set to create hundreds more millionaires each year. 148 millionaires have already been made on the game this year.
Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger. Each week, players help generate around £33M for National Lottery-funded projects. With over £53BN raised for Good Causes since launch, this funds hundreds of projects in every postcode area across the UK. From supporting the arts and sport sectors, to empowering local community groups and
preserving iconic British landmarks, players’ participation makes a difference every single day.
