A FANTASTIC YEAR OF FUNDRAISING FOR THE MALL WOOD GREEN

The Mall Wood Green raised an impressive £3,420 throughout 2018 for local charity, Crutch Haringey.

The Mall Wood Green’s Charity of the Year for 2018, Crutch Haringey is a citizens advice project offering practical support for local residents struggling to provide essentials such as food, clothing and shelter. The charity supports individuals and communities in the Haringey borough by offering practical help and advice, enabling them to get back on their feet again.

The money was raised through various seasonal initiatives, which took place across the year, including a Christmas Jumper Day, a World Cup dress-up day, a Christmas jumble sale, Christmas gift wrapping, RADAR Key sales and a Summer Jumble Sale.

Dean Wigzell, Project Leader for Crutch Haringey, said: “Firstly, a huge thank you to Isaiah, the staff and customers at The Mall for supporting us this year! We are truly blown away by your efforts. The money raised will be used to directly support local people who are unable to meet their own basic needs in life, such as providing food, clothing and warmth.”

As Crutch Haringey’s year as charity partner draws to a close, The Mall Wood Green has started the search for a new charity for 2019 and will announce the lucky recipient in the next few weeks.
