Nord Gyms, a brand new destination for 360˚ wellness combining personalised coaching with restorative contrast therapy, is announced to launch later this year in December, located in the central hub of Crouch End, North London.
The private training space, co-founded by CEO Alexander Fussell and COO Alasdair Muir, has been designed in collaboration with leading specialist wellness designers, to seamlessly combine ice baths, cedar wood saunas & a bespoke collection of the very best training apparatus. It’s a huge level up for the N8 postcode and beyond, for supporting athletes, sports rehab & those looking to elevate their health & wellness regimes.
Nord’s vision is to provide a community-focussed complete experience for members of all skill levels from beginners to Olympians, which is fully accessible to all. Whether you’re well-versed, new, or face training challenges due to disability, recent surgery, or for veterans following combat injuries, the goal is to help everyone improve both physical & mental wellbeing in a welcoming environment.
Nord works with specialists across PT, physio & nutrition to ensure members feel confident, train safely & realise the full benefits of contrast therapy as part of their routine. One location, enough of everything to allow members & drop-ins to train on their terms & three ways to use the space – Strength, Conditioning & Recovery.
STRENGTH: Fully kitted out Eleiko racks integrated with platforms, cables, plates & free-weights to support strength training goals, specially selected and designed for the space. The level of quality matches the apparatus used by the Olympic & Commonwealth games.
CONDITIONING: Everything you need to work on improving your engine & conditioning whether your preference is for the treadmill, erg work on the rower & bike or calisthenics, or a combination of everything.
RECOVERY: Included in every membership & drop-in session. A traditional bespoke Finnish stone-heater sauna with dry heat, low light & what truly sets it apart: automated saline dosing, to control highly precise concentrations of saltwater which help support respiratory health, skin and overall relaxation. Cool down in the cedar wood & stainless steel glacier ice baths, then jump into a multi-temp experience shower, to reset between rounds.

The launch marks the kick-off of big growth plans for Nord Gyms, with a cluster of multi-access spaces to launch in the North London area and across the capital within the next five years, and plans to expand nationally within the next ten years.
