Aldi is giving away thousands of free ice creams in London next week, helping parents make the most of the school holidays without overspending on everyday treats, as part of a wider commitment to support families through this costly period.
The discounter’s Summer Cool Down ice cream van will park up at Clapham Common on Monday 27th July and Tuesday 28th July. Visitors can enjoy complimentary frozen treats while stocks last – including the new White Chocolate & Mango Ice Cream and iconic Chocolate & Hazelnut Ice Cream Cones.
The tasty giveaway is just one of the ways Britain’s biggest discounter is helping families manage everyday spending as the school holidays begin. Earlier this summer, it announced £60m in price cuts across a range of family essentials and relaunched its Summer Support Scheme, a daily giveaway which sees £50 Aldi vouchers gifted to families every day throughout July and August.
For the remainder of the summer, shoppers will be able to get their hands on Aldi’s best-selling ice creams, with prices starting from £1.15.
Following a record-breaking start to the summer, Aldi is forecasting sales of more than 20 million ice creams during the school holidays as families look for more affordable ways to stay cool and enjoy a treat. Earlier this summer, soaring temperatures drove ice cream sales up 73% year-on-year, with more than 2.5 million ice creams sold in a single week.
