Actors Laura Aikman, Beatie Edney, Rula Lenska, Lesley Nicol and “Voice of an Angel” classically trained soprano, Carly Paoli, kicked off the festive season in style at animal welfare charity Mayhew’s Christmas Concert at St Matthew’s Church in Ealing on Friday.
With more than 250 guests in attendance, The Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Hitesh Tailor, opened the evening of music, moving readings, and seasonal entertainment in aid of the dogs, cats and communities the London-based charity supports.
Mayhew has seen a huge surge in demand for its services this year, with more dogs and cats coming through its doors than ever before.
The proceeds raised on the evening will contribute to the care, love and support Mayhew provides to dogs and cats, allowing the charity to continue its vital work.
