Appeal after cyclist critically injured in Hackney collision

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a cyclist was left fighting for his life following a collision in Hackney.

On Saturday, 20 July at 00:20hrs on Kingsland Road, Hackney, a cyclist apparently collided with an empty parked car.

The cyclist, a 21 year old male, was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. He remain in an east London hospital in life threatening condition having suffered serious facial and neck injuries.

His next of kin has been informed.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision.

They are appealing for any witnesses or passing motorists with dash-cam footage to come forward.
