After a sold out run at Soho Theatre in July, a sold-out season at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Aussie oddball Josh Glanc brings his critically acclaimed show Vrooom Vrooom back to the Soho Theatre in September. Featuring his trademark blend of outrageous characters, surrealist sketch, and original songs.

Former lawyer Josh gave up the stable profession to become a comedian, to find his true self, and to let his inner ridiculousness run free. Two years of lockdowns spent between Melbourne and London (the 1st and 3rd most lockdown cities in the world), and not being able to pursue his newly chosen career, left him rethinking this choice. Vrooom Vrooom is about discovering why he wants to perform. The spirit of finding yourself, no matter how silly and flamboyant ‘you’ may be, is endowed in every character in the show and in every original song. Josh introduces us to a tortured truck driver, a rosella trainer at an Australian wildlife Sanctuary, and a rejected tree, while hopping in and out of character to add personal insights into his lurid world.
Josh’s unique style fuses character, stand up and song in a whirlwind of props, sound effects and costumes which regularly earn him flattering comparisons with fellow Aussie oddball Sam Simmons.

He’s won multiple comedy awards for his one-man character clown shows, including Best Comedy at Perth and Adelaide Fringes; the Brighton Fringe Touring Bursary, and nominated for the prestigious West Australian Arts Editor Award.
