Lucozade Sport is teaming up with best friends Dev Griffin and Sam Thompson to create a brand-new podcast series called “Running The Show” – a non-runners’ guide to entering the world of running which ends with the duo attempting to take on the most famous challenge of them all… a marathon.

The 12-episode podcast will document the highs and lows, the blisters and worn-out shoes, the euphoria and achievements, as the pair embark on their most challenging fitness journey yet.

DJ and radio presenter Dev Griffin and Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson will start with a visit to St Mary’s University where a specialist sports science laboratory will put them through their paces before running expert Mark Draper reveals their training plan for the next 12 weeks.

The series from Lucozade Sport will follow the pair through their training plan with the help of special guests including trainers, nutritionists and mindfulness experts who will help to give them, and the listener, all the tips and tricks that non-runners need to be the best runners that they can be.

Host Dev Griffin comments:

“I’m really excited to be hosting Lucozade Sport’s first ever podcast – I’ve always loved running but I’ve got a lot to learn, so I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge with Sam along with the support of some amazing guests and experts.”

Host Sam Thompson adds:

“I’ve never been much of a runner so attempting a marathon is a daunting prospect, but I’m up for the challenge! I hope our podcast with Lucozade Sport will encourage more people to put on some trainers and get out there, whether they are experienced runners or clueless like me.”

The 12-part entertainment series is Lucozade Sport’s first podcast and will feature a series of experts and special guests including Heavyweight Boxing Champion Anthony Joshua and England Netball Captain Serena Guthrie as the duo experience the highs and lows of training to run long distances.

Lucozade Sport’s drinks are designed to support every body made to move, with its Body Fuel range containing carbohydrates and electrolytes to enhance hydration and help maintain performance during endurance exercise.

The Running The Show podcast is available to listen to for free on Spotify, Acast and Apple Podcasts.
