After last year’s triumphant return, Blackheath Fireworks is back, bigger and better than ever before with more space, more entertainment, more food and more rides to wow the thousands expecting to flock to Blackheath Common on Saturday November 7th.

South East London’s biggest Bonfire Night celebration kicks off at 5pm, with 40,000 Londoners expected to enjoy a jaw-dropping fireworks display and a huge host of festivities that run all the way through until 10pm. In the Big Top music fans can dance into the small hours as UK Garage stars DJ Luck & MC Neat and club legend Brandon Block get behind the 1s and 2s. One of the stand-out highlights of 2025’s Blackheath Fireworks, the hugely popular Massaoke is back as are the Lords of Lightning with their insane electrical arc spectacular, while laughs will be coming thick and fast thanks to some of the country’s hottest comedians lining up at the Big Belly Comedy Club.

Outside under the crisp November night sky, brightly illuminated fairground rides will stretch as far as the eye can see, small rides perfect for kids and young families sitting alongside those bigger, daredevil spectaculars thrill-seekers of all ages are drawn to. This year’s Street Food Village boasts even more local food vendors and an increased number of bars around the festival site, meaning queues for drinks, mulled wine and hot chocolate will be at an absolute minimum.

New for 2026, and a precursor to next year’s People’s Day, is the People’s Stage. Organised by Lewisham Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, SEND, Youth Empowerment and Culture, Councillor Rotimi Skyers, the People’s Stage will celebrate the incredible local talent from across the Lewisham Borough.

“The People’s Stage is a chance to celebrate our creativity, talent and the community that makes Lewisham, Lewisham. We’re inviting local performers, artists, musicians, dancers, community groups, and organisations to help shape this year’s Blackheath Fireworks and shine a spotlight on the amazing diversity of our borough,” Councillor Skyers said.

“This is about giving Lewisham’s talent a platform and bringing our people together. Keep an eye out for opportunities to get involved as we get ready for the return of People’s Day in 2027.”

The unofficial kick off to the capital’s Christmas season, it was no surprise that last year’s event sold out within weeks. With this year’s festival expected to draw even more Londoners looking for a great night out and even better value for money, organisers have expanded the festival’s site and added three large entrances – Blackheath Gate, Lewisham Gate and Greenwich Gate.

Pre-sale ticket registration opens on September 3rd with tickets live on September 8th. People are advised to get tickets from www.blackheathfireworks.com as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
