Scholars and staff are celebrating at Bobby Moore Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, as sixth-formers receive their A level results today. Teenagers across the country are finding out their results, after sitting exams in May and June and facing an anxious wait during the summer.
Bobby Moore Academy is proud of all the hard work and dedication scholars and staff have shown, with additional support including after school interventions, Saturday school and individual mentoring.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication by scholars and staff, many sixth formers will be confirming offers for university, apprenticeships or entering the workforce. Bobby Moore is exceptionally proud to publish its strongest KS5 results to date, with over 22% of grades at A or A*, and over 23% of scholars will be proceeding to study at Russell Group establishments.
Building a Legacy:
Cole Cooper has secured his Legacy, leaving Bobby Moore Academy after 7 years with not only an incredible three A*s, but also the accomplishment of being the first scholar from this academy to go to Oxford University. Known by all staff for having expansive knowledge, consistently superior test scores and the command of all skills needed to succeed in academics, Cole will read History and Politics. The entire Bobby Moore Academy community wish Cole the very best and look forward to following his career closely as part of the BMA Alumni.
Raees Umair Nauyeck, another scholar leaving BMA after the full 7 years of Secondary education, achieved a fantastic 3 As and also leaves his Legacy being the first scholar from the Academy to go on to Imperial University. He is further developing his love of the sciences and will be starting an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. Raees is a highly analytical and consistently curious scholar and everyone at Bobby Moore is excited to see where the success in his studies will take him next.
Arham Choudhury is another phenomenal success story, joining BMA in Year 7 and leaving with a remarkable 2 A*s and 2 As after his studies at the academy. Arham is an exceptionally talented Mathematician and actually took his Maths examination in Year 12 and still secured an A* – a testament to his knowledge, work ethic and tremendous ambition. Arham will continue the study of Mathematics at Warwick University and with his diligent, thoughtful and adaptable nature the future really has no ceiling for this young man.
Estevao Lima Dos Santos has secured his place at Queen Mary University and with an A* in History, an A in Mathematics and a B in Physics. He will embark on a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Known for his ability to assimilate new information quickly and having an aptitude for mechanics, his undergraduate study will be a continuation of the phenomenal Legacy Estevau has started to form in his secondary education at Bobby Moore. We wish him the very best and wait in anticipation for his future career.
Johan Marin Saeriz completes his 7 year journey with BMA by accepting a place at Central Saint Martins to study architecture. This college, within the University of the Arts London, is known for its intense global competition and has acceptance rates at around 10%. Johan is a gifted, creative and passionate artist and this coveted course stands him in good stead for a wonderful career, but also pioneers the way for future BMA scholars to follow their dreams into the Arts. All at Bobby Moore Academy are tremendously proud of him!
