London’s iconic food and drink destination, Borough Market is celebrating its loyal customers, who have continued to visit throughout the pandemic, with its new ‘Your Borough Market’ campaign. A new video features 13 of the Market’s traders including butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers and hot food sellers, thanking their customers for supporting small and local businesses during what has been a difficult time for many retailers.

Borough Market has remained open as an essential food retailer throughout the pandemic and as lockdown continues to ease it is welcoming back more of its speciality and hot food traders and seeing more customers returning to its cobbled streets.

Darren Henaghan, managing director of Borough Market, said: “We have been fortunate enough to be able to stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning locals have been able to continue coming to us for fresh produce and store cupboard essentials of the highest quality. Through our click & collect and delivery services, our supporters have kept us going throughout and we cannot thank them enough. We have always said that Borough Market is not just a place to buy or sell food, it is a place where people come to connect, and we have certainly felt this has been the case during these challenging times. Thank you once again. This is YOUR Borough Market.”

Borough Market remains open for business from Monday to Saturday, with social distancing measures in place.  The Market continues to sell fresh produce and store cupboard ingredients. The produce Market now extends in the ‘Green Market’ area and the Borough Market Kitchen traders are returning with some offering al fresco dining experiences in the evening.

Borough Market’s delivery and collection service, Borough Market Online, offers an alternative way for customers to access Market produce either by click and collect or via a doorstep drop delivery service, now extended for those within a 7 mile radius of the Market, allowing orders to be received without contact with couriers.

Visitors will find a changing line up of food on offer and can find a list of traders online at boroughmarket.org.uk
