Join locals for a day of fun at the Brentford Canal Festival on Saturday 20th June 2026 between 12pm and 6pm to celebrate the town’s waterways.

Now an established annual highlight in the local calendar, the festival – organised by Brentford Voice – draws thousands of visitors each year. Recognised by Hounslow Council as the borough’s largest free festival, the event promises something for everyone. Visitors can explore a wide range of market stalls, enjoy pop-up food and drink, and relax by the water while taking in live performances throughout the afternoon.

Live music will take place across multiple stages located at The Brentford Project’s Workhouse Dock, Brentford Lock West, Market Place, The Beehive, Brentford Lock Piazza, and a dedicated children’s stage in The Butts. Expect an exciting line-up including Das Brass, Mitsumen and a John Lennon solo tribute act, among many others.

There will be plenty to keep families entertained all day, with activities such as face painting, arts and crafts workshops, Morris dancing, floating markets and complimentary hula hoop sessions, as well as skateboarding workshops led by the Keep Rolling Project. Visitors can also take advantage of free boat trips along the Grand Union Canal, as well as kayak and rowing taster sessions in Brentford Basin and Workhouse Dock.

More than 50 stallholders will showcase some of west London’s best independent and local businesses. From personalised home fragrances by La Scent and vegan wellness products from Victoria & Me, to jams, chutneys and hot sauces by Condiments Kitchen, there will be something for everyone. It’s also set to be a foodie heaven with deli treats, hot food trucks and delicious, sweet treats on offer.

For those looking to sit down and dine, local favourite Sam’s Waterside will be serving delicious dishes with views across Brentford and the River Brent.

Bring your friends and family and make a day of it – don’t miss the chance to experience one of west London’s most vibrant community events.
