Brixton Village Welcomes Five Vibrant Traders to its South London’s Staple

Brixton Village, the renowned South London cultural hub, is thrilled to welcome a host of new traders, all bringing a range of unique experiences and cultures to the Village which already represents over 96 different countries.
Opening their doors from June through to July, visitors can experience and enjoy: Irene Bakery, Friendship Adventure, Shimirose, House of Momo, as well as the return of Brixton’s beloved sustainable gin bar, Jim and Tonic.

General Manager of Brixton Village, Diana Nabagereka commented: “Our goal at the Village is to bring together the world and all its cultures under one roof. We want every visitor, local or not, to feel a sense of home but also connect with and experience new cultures. From Nepalese cuisine to pure West African skincare treatments, we have no doubt that the new traders will become fan-favourites for everyone.”

House of Momo

Coming to Brixton Village This June, House of Momo is a Nepalese restaurant specializing in freshly handmade momos (Himalayan dumplings), curry thalis, noodles, and many more. Listed amongst the capital’s finest eating establishments in 2021 by Esquire. Its distinct cuisine has already been a hit with locals in Hackney and customers visiting across the capital and beyond. House of Momo is excited to create yet another home in the pride and heartbeat of South London, Brixton, bringing flavours from Nepal for everyone to enjoy.

Shimirose

Alongside the cohort of tasty treats sprouting up in the Village, shoppers can also expect to find the ethically-focussed skincare brand, Shimirose, opening on Sat 29th July 2023. Shimirose is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty company, passionate about healthy skin and hair.
As part of its commitment to responsible sourcing, Shimirose uses shea butter sourced from a women’s cooperative in Northern Ghana. It’s Shimirose’s philosophy to support the community and the environment, making it a one-stop shop for beauty in Brixton Village.

IRENE Bakery

The family-owned IRENE Bakery is set to open its doors on June 10th, specializing in fresh sourdough bread, viennoiseries, and their specialty coffee. IRENE bakery is set to dazzle the South London neighbourhood with their unique and delicious blends of baked goodies for all to savour.
With an impressively diverse team ensuring that every bite of freshly baked goodies is to perfection, tourists and locals alike are sure to experience the warmth and taste of exquisite offerings.
