Business Community Donates to Food Relief Charity in Central London

Business Community, BBX, launched the #PayItForward campaign in May with the aim of raising funds for food relief charity, Food For All in London. The BBX team reached out to all their clients asking them to donate their BBX funds, which totalled over £9,800 BBX.

The funds raised were used to purchase four pallets of Skinni Snax, a healthy and nutritious chickpea and soya-based snack. When the team at Skinni Snax heard of the campaign and the community’s generous donations, they donated an extra pallet of snacks. In total, five pallets – 18,900 snacks – were all delivered to Food For All in Central London.

The charity, which is an entirely volunteer run and managed food relief charity, currently provides 3,000 free meals a week to community groups and local authorities, as well as on the streets for people without accommodation. The Skinni Snax will be distributed by Food For All along with the hot meals giving people some extra food in these challenging times.

Anju Ahluwalia (lady pictured far left), CEO of Food for All, commented: “The last three months have been extremely challenging for all those people who were already relying on us. The team and community around Food for All have been working tirelessly to make sure we can support everyone that needs a meal, including the hundreds of new people that have signed up since March. It’s donations such as these that really do make the world of difference, and it’s been great to offer a little extra something to those people that have very little at the moment.”
