Camden Market’s first pub launches natural wine store

0

The Farrier launched in May 2021 as North London’s new neighbourhood restaurant and Camden Market’s first ever pub.

With its strong focus on natural and artisan wine, 10th December 2021 will see The Farrier expand its offering into retail, with the addition of its Wine Store. Also housed within the beautifully restored former horse hospital and stables building, the new wine store will be the area’s first wine specialist and allow guests the opportunity to purchase by the bottle directly over the bar, or from your waiter at the end of a meal, to take home and enjoy or gift to a wine lover for Christmas.

Showcased in The Farrier’s impressive bespoke floor to ceiling wine wall with sliding ladder, the focus will be on specialty and rare natural, biodynamic and organic wines from small producers and wineries from around the world. Styles will range from natural British sparklings (e.g ‘Col 19’ from Tillingham Wines, East Sussex) to easy drinking favourites (e.g. ‘Chin Chin’ Vinho Verde from Quinta do Ermizio, Portugal) whilst showcasing lesser known orange wines (e.g. Staffelter Hof’s Little Bastard from Mosel, Germany) and rare low production reds (e.g Sky Zinfandel 2013 from Napa Valley, USA).

Winter specials that will lend themselves well to festive season entertaining will include the natural Italian sparkling Casa Belfi Frizzante and the English organic sparkling from Davenport Vineyards, whilst lesser known and more exclusive options, such as the biodynamic Cristom Pinot Noir and the organic Contea Merlot arrive just in time to make for perfect Christmas gifting for wine enthusiasts this season.
