Change Grow Live has been commissioned to provide a new integrated drug and alcohol service for adults and young people in the London Borough of Barnet.

The new service commissioned by the London Borough of Barnet Public Health Commissioning team commenced on 1 April 2020, with the vision of being delivered from a central hub and convenient satellite locations in the community by the end of the first year.

The new integrated adult and young people’s service combines adult and young people’s services under one contract. Young people up to the age of 24 and adults over 18 who use any type of substances will be supported to improve their health and wellbeing and make positive changes to their lives.

Liz Mack, Director, Change Grow Live, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to provide this new service for the community in Barnet. Our emphasis is on working together with people to support them to achieve their goals and improve their health and wellbeing. In addition to addressing immediate health needs, we will encourage and influence people to consider their overall approach to their health and wellbeing throughout the course of their lives to help prevent further ill health.”

The new Change Grow Live Barnet service will provide more support for people experiencing problems with alcohol and will also support individuals whose substance use has brought them into contact with the criminal justice system.
