Tickets have gone on sale for one of the highlights of the City of London’s calendar – the annual Beerfest in the historic Guildhall Yard.

Run by the City of London Corporation, this year’s fun-packed extravaganza – featuring over 35 of the UK’s best beers from 11 top brewers – takes place on 6 July from 12.30pm to 9pm.

Drinkers can book tickets online and get a 10 per cent discount. And there will be a mouth-watering selection of global cuisine including Greek and Indian street food, and tasty Halal, vegetarian, and vegan options will be offered.

New Orleans brass band UnSwung Heroes will put a swing in your step, and every beer bought will help a good cause, with funds from the event going to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

The event is being produced in partnership with the Worshipful Company of Brewers.

Beerfest is part of the City Corporation’s Destination City programme which aims to make the Square Mile a world-leading leisure destination for UK and global visitors, workers, and residents to enjoy.

Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee, Munsur Ali, said:

“This is a highlight of the City’s calendar and we’re promising fantastic fun for everyone.

“It is a wonderful opportunity for visitors from across London and beyond to savour outstanding beer and fabulous food in the historic setting of Guildhall Yard.

“The City is the birthplace of London and we’re proud to celebrate its history and heritage, world-class culture, and outstanding beer.”

The City of London Corporation is the fourth largest funder of heritage and cultural activities in the UK and invests over £130m every year.
