Chiswick Festival will return to the iconic Chiswick House and Gardens this summer for a celebration of live music and comedy, with food and drink from around the world, supporting local caterers and bands.
Last year, over 5000 people were entertained at Chiswick Festival by a brilliant variety of entertainment including comedy from Dara Ó Briain, Suzi Ruffell and Russell Kane. This year plans to be even bigger!
Over five days, the line-up for 4-8 August 2021 includes live music from the amazing ABBA Revival (awarded No.1 Abba Tribute band for the last 5 years), Queen Tribute Band Majesty (the UK’s premiere touring Queen tribute band), and The Bootleg Beatles (the world’s Premier Beatles tribute band), plus comedy from Hal Cruttenden (Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You), John Robins (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner, Live At The Apollo), Jo Enright (The Job Lot, I’m Alan Partridge), and Jonny & the Baptists (BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and The Infinite Monkey Cage).
Throughout the various lockdowns, the grounds of Chiswick House and Gardens have remained open, despite the cost. This has proved invaluable to local residents who use the green space for exercise, family days out, and to support personal mental wellbeing.
Chiswick House and Gardens has been hit hard due to a dramatic drop in revenue because of the pandemic. To support its future, the festival will help fundraise much needed cash for the 18th century villa.
Festival organisers have partnered with local food and drink businesses to serve up a feast fit for outdoor dining including Pulled (pulled meats specialists), Fullers and El Bandarra Aperitif.
Chiswick Festival will be a covid secure event closely following all national and local guidelines. Organisers are working closely with local authorities to ensure all risks are minimised, and ensure all guests have an enjoyable, but safe time.
There will be table service where customers can order food and drink through a QR code on each table. All tables and chairs will have been santised before arrival, and will be spaced to allow for social distancing.
Tickets are priced from £32 and can be purchased from the website chiswickfestival.com. Doors open for afternoon sessions from 12 noon, and evening sessions from 5:30pm
Jonathan Geitner, Founder of Chiswick Festival said “After the success of last year, we are so excited to be bringing Chiswick Festival back to Chiswick House and Gardens! We have a jam-packed line-up of live music and comedy, along with the most tasty food vendors and awesome drink suppliers – there really is something for everyone at Chiswick Festival this year. It’s so important that we all make the absolute most of our summer. We can’t wait to see everyone there!”
