Judges at this year’s Legal Week Legal Innovation Awards have shortlisted London full-service law firm, Mackrell Turner Garrett, in the Business Development Innovation category.
The Legal Week awards recognise the very best in forward-thinking legal practices and try to highlight those firms that are seeking new solutions or offering new services to clients to meet their needs.
In its submission, Mackrell Turner Garrett sought to highlight the arrival of its new cannabis law department in London. The submission detailed the steps the firm had taken to capitalise on its strong commercial relationship with the established US Cannabis industry through partner firms within the Mackrell International network. The Business Development activity has contributed to us becoming one of the leading practices advising the UK’s fast-growing cannabis industry.
This includes its recent instructions by the Cannabis Trades Association and its members, as well as the firm’s national press coverage in publications, such as The Times.
Mackrell Turner Garrett will now have to wait until 24 May 2019 to find out if it has won at an awards ceremony due to be held at The Landmark London.
