City of London Corporation elects new Digital Services Committee Chair

Dawn Wright has been elected the new Chair of the City of London Corporation’s Digital Services Committee.

This committee ensures effective infrastructure and services for City Corporation and City of London Police. It also promotes London and the Square Mile as cyber secure and as a key market for digital products and services.

Chair of the City of London Corporation’s Digital Services Committee, Dawn Wright, said:

“It’s a privilege to have been elected to this role at a critical time as we emerge from the pandemic.

“The City has the skills, talent and digital expertise needed to help drive the economy. Our priority is to work with businesses, support digital innovation and safeguard against cyber-attacks.

“I am passionate about the City of London’s heritage – but I also want to ensure its future. Digital services are a key element of this.”

Dawn is a Member of City Corporation’s Court of Common Council, its primary decision-making body; the City of London Police Authority Board; and the Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee.

She is the Chair of Governors for one of the Harris Academy schools and sits on the main board of the Harris Federation, an education charity led and run by teachers, which manages 48 academies in and around London.

Dawn also chairs the Equality Committee for the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
