Following last year’s roadblock success at E1, City Splash comes to The Steelyard on Friday 28th August for another huge Carnival Warm Up Party, bringing together legendary sound systems, leading DJs and some of the most exciting names from London’s Caribbean music community.
Running from 11pm until 6am, the event will transform The Steelyard into a celebration of Caribbean music and culture, soundtracking the final Friday before Europe’s biggest street festival. Last year sold out in record time – with this year set to be no different!
With Dancehall, Reggae, Soca & Bashment anthems taking centre stage, the party will be the perfect way to launch one of London’s biggest and most important cultural weekends.
Heading up the line-up are Saxon Sound and Rampage Sound – two legends of UK sound system culture. Founded in South London, Saxon Sound have played a defining role in the history of British reggae and dancehall, helping to launch the careers of generations of artists and selectors while building a legacy that stretches across the UK and beyond.
They are joined by Rampage Sound, one of the country’s most recognisable and influential sound systems, renowned for their legendary Carnival appearances, high-energy sets and decades-long contribution to Black British music and nightlife.
Also performing are DJ Nate & English Fire, Pure Vibes Ent, Loyal Squad, Izzy Bossy, Triple M, Shayna Marie, Monikah Lee, Jada Pink, Nay Honey, Vybz-SR and Tuggzy Onpoint, with further special artists set to appear throughout the night.
From heavyweight dubplates and timeless reggae selections to the latest dancehall, bashment and soca anthems, every set is sure to capture the unmistakable feeling of Carnival before the weekend.
Since launching in 2019, City Splash has become one of the UK’s leading celebrations of Caribbean and African music and culture, welcoming tens of thousands of people to Brockwell Park while championing the artists, sounds and communities that continue to shape British culture.
Beyond the festival itself, City Splash has developed a year-round programme of parties, collaborations and cultural events, creating spaces where the music and energy of the Caribbean diaspora can be celebrated in all its forms.
As London prepares for Carnival weekend, the City Splash Carnival Warm Up Party will bring seasoned Carnival veterans and first-timers together beneath The Steelyard’s railway arches for a night of the best music and non-stop energy.
