Clark Williams ventured into the business of fashion officially in 2019 after successful exploits on the internet as an influencer. In 2019, Clark Williams, popularly known as OprahSide, launched his clothing line called Likemnds. It did not take long for the brand to catch the attention of fashion enthusiasts and the “2020 Vision Shirt” collection that was recently released by the brand has continued to sell out.
The fashion world has witnessed several transformations and evolutions with the emergence of different creative clothing lines leading to several unique creations. According to a report published by Liam O’Connell on Statista, the global apparel market will grow in value from 1.3 trillion U.S. dollars in 2015 to about 1.5 trillion dollars in 2020, showing an increase in the demand for clothing and shoes is on the rise across the world. The urban community is one of the fashion markets that have been affected by the evolution of the fashion world in recent times. However, no clothing brand seems to be able to effectively address the needs of people without requiring them to part ways with lots of money. This is where Clark Williams is looking to make a difference with the launch of Likemnds.
Following the launch of the company in 2019, Likemnds dropped 2 seasons in June and December of the same year. In line with the brand’s goal of expanding into a major streetwear name, Likemnds released the 2020 VISION collection, featuring long sleeve shirts and tees. The latest collection almost immediately became a success, following the footsteps of the previously released seasons.
Clark has seemingly dedicated a lot of resources to his new project as he looks to leave a lasting impact and legacy on the fashion world. “I want to be one of the biggest fashion designers in the world one day. With clothing that lives on far past my time on earth,” said Clark Williams.
In a similar vein, OprahSide as he is also called has stated his undying love for fashion and his intention to retire permanently into the industry. “Clothing design and creation are what I want to do with the rest of my life, during and after youtube,” said Clark Williams.
