Hollywood icon, restaurateur and all-round badass Danny Trejo is bringing the unmistakable flavours and spirit of Trejo’s Tacos to the City this September, with a 10-week pop-up at Puttshack Bank launching on Tuesday 15th September.
For the first time, Londoners will be able to get their Trejo’s fix outside the brand’s Portobello Road home, as Trejo’s takes over a dedicated space inside Puttshack’s flagship Bank venue – serving up its bold Cal-Mex food, signature cocktails and laid-back LA attitude alongside Puttshack’s tech-powered mini golf.
For the uninitiated, Puttshack Bank takes crazy golf to a whole new level. The high-energy social entertainment venue combines cutting-edge, tech-powered mini golf with great food, cocktails and plenty of competitive spirit – all in the heart of the City. Its clever Trackaball™ technology automatically keeps score as players make their way around a series of interactive holes, meaning there are no pencils, scorecards or arguments over who’s winning. Add Trejo’s tacos and margaritas into the mix and this is one City takeover worth getting competitive about.
And Trejo’s is arriving in style. To officially kick off the collaboration, Trejo’s Tacos and Puttshack will host a star-studded VIP launch party at Puttshack Bank on Tuesday 15th September – with a limited number of money-can’t-buy tickets being released for fans to win. TACOS, MARGARITAS & A SERIOUS TASTE OF LA
At the heart of the collaboration is a greatest-hits line-up of Trejo’s most irresistible Cal-Mex dishes – big, bold, gloriously messy food made for sharing, devouring and coming back for. Taco lovers can work their way through slow-cooked Carnitas, crispy OG Battered Fish, punchy Spicy Shrimp, Fried Chicken and smoky Mushroom Asada tacos, loaded with the fresh, vibrant flavours that have made Danny’s LA-born restaurant brand a cult favourite. And the sides are every bit as tempting. Expect Trejo’s Street Corn, creamy Chips & Guacamole and Chips with Assorted Salsa – the kind of table-filling spread that demands another round.
And because no Trejo’s experience would be complete without a margarita in hand, Trejo’s signature cocktails will be shaking up the City for the full 10 weeks, bringing the tequila-fuelled, sun-soaked spirit of Southern California to Bank. Think tacos in one hand, an ice-cold cocktail in the other, before taking on Puttshack’s high-energy, tech-powered mini golf.
Founded by Danny Trejo and rooted in the Mexican food and flavours he grew up with in Los Angeles, Trejo’s has become known for fresh, flavour-packed Cal-Mex food served without the fuss – bringing together great tacos, great drinks and the kind of atmosphere where people want to stick around.

The VIP launch is just the beginning. Across the 10-week residency, Trejo’s and Puttshack will be serving up a series of one-off events bringing together food, film, culture and plenty of Trejo’s attitude. Fans can look forward to a Day of the Dead celebration, taking place on Saturday 31st October, as well as an exclusive Danny Trejo film screening celebrating the Hollywood icon and some of his most unforgettable on-screen roles.

The collaboration follows the successful launch of Trejo’s Tacos’ first international restaurant on London’s Portobello Road. Fronted by Danny Trejo – star of Machete, Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn and Heat – the two-storey restaurant has brought his celebrated Los Angeles concept to the UK, combining traditional Mexican recipes with the bold flavours and laid-back culture of Southern California. Now Trejo’s is heading east – for 10 weeks only.
