Move over 99 Flake, Virgin Red’s floating Mr Whippy truck is serving up free cones with a spectacular van in the sky, elevated by 99 red balloons.
The 15ft high ice cream van will be floating above the South Bank on Wednesday 14 July, supported by a sky-full of red balloons, as Virgin’s new rewards club, Virgin Red, whips up the classic Mr Whippy for all – with a 99 twist.
The never-seen-before floating ice cream van will take flight at Observation Point for one day only, daring people to find out whatever blows their bubble with a tasty cone of their choice.
Virgin Red will be serving up ice cream all day with an extraordinary selection of red toppings, from traditional sprinkles to chilli flakes, with visitors invited to create an ice cream truly unique to them.
What’s more, the Virgin Red 99 Red Balloons truck will be playing the iconic 80s tune – reimagined by Virgin Red, re-recorded by Grace Carter – throughout the day, marking a flash giveaway of 99 Virgin Points prizes.
