Dubai’s biggest and best comedy night set to make its London debut this November

What’s got six legs and will make you wet yourself? The Laughter Factory London, that’s what. After 23 years of packed houses throughout the Middle East, live comedy show The Laughter Factory is bringing its laugh-a-minute stand up to King’s Cross to Egg London.

Head down to the full-on, warehouse style club on York Way for the chance to hear from THREE top comedians – Rob Deering, Dana Alexander and Scott Capurro.

Laughter Factory founder and promoter Gail Clough says: “Egg London is our favourite London venue. We can’t wait to bring the house down. Our formula has always been simple – three world class comics. All killer, no filler.”

There’s a cracking night of non-stop laughs guaranteed, followed by an after party hosted by the original Northern powerhouse Gail Clough, to chat to punters and create relationships beyond the digital bubble.

In the last 23 years, many of the acts gracing the Laughter Factory stage have gone on to become household names including Russell Peters, Michael McIntyre, Mickey Flanagan, Dara Ó Briain, Sarah Millican and Frankie Boyle.

“As the market changed, we changed. As Dubai’s population saw a Brit exodus, we realised we had to cater to a more global audience,” says promoter, Gail.

Gail travelled to Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival discovering a new seam of talent. International stars from the US, Canada and South Africa, for example, started appearing on the Laughter Factory bill, broadening the talent pool and delighting audiences.

“With these connections and experience in place, its the right time to bring The Laughter Factory to London – the global city, and to a venue perfectly suited for our dynamic brand of stand up, one of London’s most established rooms – Egg in King’s Cross,” adds Gail.

The London Laughter Factory debut plays host to three of the long-running comedy night’s most popular acts – Rob Deering, Dana Alexander and Scott Capurro.

Time Out Dubai comedian of the year Rob Deering has a trophy cabinet that would make Tiger Woods feel like an underachiever. Guitar-weilding, loop layering Deering’s unique combination of music and comedy never fails to bring the house down. We do warn you that your mind maybe be permanently scarred with his rendition of ‘Coffeeeee’ a song that you can’t stop singing for years once you have heard it.

Dana Alexander is by far one of the best acts on the Canadian comedy circuit, although she is now based in London. She is a force of nature when it comes to live stand up. Another winner of ‘Best Comic’, this special guest on Russell Howard’s ‘Good News’ is an ebullient and instantly likeable act.

Refreshing and fearless, her comedic style has been described as “smart, irreverent and revolutionary”.

San Francisco firebrand Scott Capurso is always deliberately provocative, referring often to gay life and culture, politics, race and popular culture, with his hilarious material once referred to as a bonfire of taboos. The Guardian once described Scott as Larry Grayson meets a combination of Lenny Bruce and Chris Rock. Need we say more?

If you aren’t laughing at this show, it probably means you are dead!
