West London book lovers can mark their diaries for the fourth edition of Ealing Book Festival, which is set to be the most ambitious yet. For the first time, the 2027 Festival will run for six days from Tuesday 27th April to Sunday 2nd May 2027, preceded by a week of schools and community events beginning on Monday 19th April.

Full details of the Festival programme will be published in February 2027, when tickets will also go on sale. Anyone wishing to be notified can register for Ealing Book Festival updates here.

The 2027 Festival will include talks and discussions featuring internationally renowned authors, interactive workshops, our ever-popular Local Authors’ Showcase, and a range of family-friendly activities. The lead-up to the main festival will include storytelling sessions for schools across Ealing borough, oracy celebration events at the University of West London, and a Children’s Day on Saturday 24th April in Southall. The main programme of author events will again be held across three venues in Ealing Broadway: the University of West London, Questors Theatre and Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery.

Expressing her excitement for the next edition of the Festival, Catherine Jaquiss, Chair of Ealing Book Festival, said: “Earlier this year the hugely successful third Ealing Book Festival attracted 3,400 visitors to 27 events. Now we’re delighted to announce the dates for Ealing Book Festival 2027, which promises to deliver another inspiring and dynamic celebration of literature, culture, and community. Since launching the Festival, we’ve hosted more than 6,500 visitors. We can’t wait to do it all again and bring together readers and writers from Ealing and beyond for our most exciting programme yet.”

Since launch, Ealing Book Festival has hosted an impressive line-up of writers. Past participants have included bestselling authors Elif Shafak, William Boyd, Jung Chang, Hanif Kureishi, Anthony Horowitz, John Boyne, Tracy Chevalier and Booker Prize-winner Eleanor Catton; two former children’s laureates in Dame Jacqueline Wilson and Lauren Child; leading figures in their fields including Sathnam Sanghera, Andrew Graham-Dixon, Mary Portas and Naz Shah; poet Roger McGough; and up-and-coming talents Abi Daré, Natasha Brown and Lucy Steeds.
