Electric Playbox, the futuristic group entertainment platform, has reopened its Southbank venue, as Londoners begin to enjoy more playtime, over hometime.
The newest addition to London’s quirky experience scene, Electric Playbox is a first of its kind immersive experience, featuring four virtual adventures lasting 60 minutes. Taking place within a state of the art “Playbox“, the room uses a series of projection mapping, touch screens and motion tracking technology to deliver a mind-blowing team adventure.
Electric Playbox is the brainchild of Tough Mudder founder Will Dean. Swapping mud for motion-sensors, Electric Playbox is on a mission to bring people together through shared screenplay – in an age when technology can be used to drive people apart.
Forget boardgames and family bake-offs, Electric Playbox promises to inject some competitive fun into your social bubble as six players inside each Playbox work together to complete a series of mini-adventures and challenges. Unlike dated and bulky virtual reality units, Electronic Playbox‘s incredible technology requires players to wear simple visors which are each equipped with a small sensor that tracks simple movements and gestures.
Adventures include throwing players back to 1984 to outwit an alien race taking over the globe, or a trip to the future to rescue a royal family in need (don’t worry Prince Harry), the vast array of family-friendly games create a fun, positive and safe experience for all ages.
Electric Playbox founder, Will Dean, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be able to welcome people back to our popular London venue. The whole Electric Playbox team has done an amazing job ensuring our venue is safe – without losing any of the wow-factor that our ground-breaking virtual games deliver.”
Priced at a special reopening offer of only £19 for adults and £9 for children, bookings are now open and can be made online at www.ElectricPlaybox.com.
