Farage accuses London Mayor of trapping poor and elderly in their homes over ULEZ charge

The impact on the ULEZ expansion to the whole of Greater London has been slammed by Nigel Farage for the negative impact it has had on the poor and elderly.

Speaking on his GB News show, Mr Farage said: “60,000 cars a day are having to pay £12.50.

“That means TfL are better off to the tune of £730,000 a day.

“But here’s the key number: About 50,000 fewer cars a day are operating on the outskirts of London.

“What it means, Sadiq Khan, is that you have trapped the poor, trapped the elderly, in their houses for fear of paying £12.50.

“Whatever views on net zero or climate change, this was never the right way to do it.”
