THE Conservative frontrunner as candidate for London Mayor has pledged to scrap the controversial expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone.

Samuel Kasumu, a former special adviser to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, told GB News: “Sadiq Khan has absolutely no mandate.

“It was not in his manifesto, it’s going to cripple some of the most vulnerable people in our society, what he’s doing is an act of self-harm, completely inappropriate.

“If we are successful in May 2024, that expansion will be reversed.”

In a discussion with Dan Wootton, he continued: “I think that we should ignore the polls and focus on the fact that London is a very unique city and most of the polls are inaccurate when it comes to trying to predict where we end up

“But listen, everybody in the party knows that for us to form a really strong foundation to set us up for the general election, London needs to be one things that we win come May 2024.

“Sadiq spent over half a million pounds on this weird panel focused on how we can re-name roads and pull down statues, when he should be focused on how we can be a lot more safer as a society and how we can bring in more jobs and opportunity to people in the city.”

He added: “I’m very passionate about the monarchy and the Commonwealth. I think that King Charles is a fantastic leader. And I’m not just saying it because he’s king

“I’m saying it because I’ve seen the work he’s done through the Prince’s Trust to transform lives. So he means what he says.”
